DBU-TT, TTL Data Broadcast Unit

 

DBU-TT, TTL Data Broadcast Unit

 

The DBU-TTL Data Broadcast Unit is designed for use in receive only data broadcast applications. Examples of typical data broadcast applications are; Continuously updated public data displays and distribution of continuous data and clock signals to Terminals or receive only communication equipment. The DBU-TTL is especially suited for weather data distribution systems and radar data distribution.

 

The DBU-TTL input port accepts standard TTL signals on a 50 Ohm or 75 Ohm connector, typically data and clock. The units output ports can support up to eight receive only terminals simultaneously on 50 Ohm or 75 Ohm connectors for data and clock distribution.

 

The DBU-TTL continuously broadcasts receive data and receive timing signals from the data source to the eight output terminal ports.

DBU-232, RS-232 3-PORT DATA BROADCAST UNIT

 

 

Mini Portable WAN Emulator

 

The DBU-232 utilizes an RS-232 interface with data rate capabilities up to 128Kbps. The unit can support up to 3 receive only terminals simultaneously.

 

The DBU-232's master port has a DB-25 female connector. The sub-channels are also DB-25 female connectors.

The DBU-232 continuously broadcasts receive data and receive timing signals from the data source to the 3 output terminal ports.

 

The DBU-232 is housed in a sturdy aluminum enclosure and is supplied with an internal linear power supply. The unit has a 110/120 VAC rotary select switch located on the rear of the housing. The unit can operate on standard power found in all countries.

DBU-2328, 8-PORT RS-232 DATA BROADCAST UNIT

 

The DBU-2328 utilizes an RS-232 interface with data rate capabilities up to 128Kbps. The unit supports up to eight receive only terminals simultaneously. Surge protection is provided for all RS-232 data interfaces and the power supply input.

 

The DBU-2328 continuously broadcasts receive data, receive timing and an optional control signal(DCD) from the data source to the eight output terminal ports. Each data port has independent drivers and receivers for transmission.

 

The DBU-2328 supports cascading multiple units together from a single data source for multiple outputs. The unit has a redundant cascade port that utilizes positive latching relays. If a single unit looses power, all remaining units will continue to function without error.

DBU-16, 16-PORT DATA BROADCAST UNIT

 

DBU-16

 

The DBU-16 is designed for use in receive only async data broadcast applications. The unit has two separate input ports, capable of accepting RS-232 or RS-422(or any V.11 compliant interface) data. The user must select, via a slide switch the preferred input method. Additionally, the unit has a dedicated cascade port for chaining DBU-16 units together.

 

The DBU-16 continuously broadcasts receive data from the input port. The input signals are split with the internal circuitry and rebroadcast out on sixteen output ports. The output ports are divided into four modular cards. Each modular card has four output ports capable of RS-232 and RS-422(or any V.11 compliant interface). Front panel LED indicators illuminate in green or yellow depending on the data type(RS-232 or RS-422).

 

The user may also utilize the DBU-16 as a interface converter. This function allows RS-232 input data to be broadcast as RS-422 data or RS-422 data to be broadcast as RS-232 data. Utilizing RS-422(V.11) can support data transmissions at far greater cable distances than does RS-232. The DBU-16 can support an unlimited amount of receive only devices simultaneously.

 

The DBU-16 is housed in a sturdy aluminum 1U rackmount enclosure and is supplied with an internal linear power supply. The unit has a 110/220 VAC rotary select switch located on the rear of the housing.

The DBU-V.11 utilizes an ITU V.11 compliant electrical interface with data rate capabilities up to 20Mbps. Additionally, V.11 supports data transmission at far greater distances than does RS-232. The DBU-V.11 can support up to 8 receive only terminals simultaneously.

 

The DBU-V.11's master port has tandem DB-15 connectors allowing the DBU's to be cascaded without loosing any subchannel ports. The DBU-V.11 continuously broadcasts Receive Data, Receive Timing and Indicate control signals from the data source to the 8 output terminal ports.

 

The DBU-V.11 is housed in a sturdy aluminum enclosure and is supplied with an internal linear power supply. The unit has a 110/120 VAC rotary select switch located on the rear of the housing. The unit can operate on standard power found in all countries.

DBU-V11/FB

 

The DBU-V11/FB is designed for use in receive only data broadcast applications while allowing redundant data feeds. The DBU-V11/FB continuously broadcasts receive data, receive timing and Indicate (any user defined control signal from the main input data source may be used). The input signals are split with the internal circuitry and broadcast out on the seven output ports. An additional dedicated cascade port is provided for cascading DBU-V11 units without loosing a sub-channel port.

 

The DBU-V11/FB utilizes an ITU V.11 (X.21) balanced interface with a maximum data rate of up to 10Mbps. Additionally, V.11 can support data transmissions at far greater cable distances than RS-232 signal levels. The unit can support an unlimited amount of receive only terminals simultaneously

 

The DBU-V11/FB's input data ports have tandem DB-15 female connectors. This allows a dedicated input port and an additional input port as the fallback port. The integral fallback switch supports switching modes of automatic or manual. The unit will monitor data, clock or Indicate control signals for switching.

 

The DBU-V11/FB is housed in a sturdy metal enclosure for standalone or rackmount applications. The unit is equipped with an internal 110/220VAC switch selectable linear power supply and has a three year warranty.

The UDC-DBU input port accepts a variety of DTE models manufactured by East Coast Datacom, Inc. with support for RS-232, RS-530, RS-422/449, X.21 and even TTL. The units output ports can support up to four receive only terminals simultaneously for either RS-232 or balanced V.11 on RJ-45 connectors.

 

The UDC-DBU's master port has a DB-25 female connector. The sub-channels are also DB-25 female connectors.

DBU-HSSI, HSSI DATA SPLITTER

 

DBU-HSSI

 

The HSSI Data Splitter model DBU-HSSI is designed for use in receive only data broadcast applications. Examples of high speed HSSI or ECL compliant device data broadcast applications are; continuously updated private or public data displays and distribution of continuous data to Routers, Bridges or PC’s. The expanding role of VSAT systems in receive only applications for real time data distribution is expected to increase dramatically over the next few years. The DBU-HSSI is an excellent choice for applications of this type.

 

The DBU-HSSI utilizes an Emitter Coupled Logic(ECL) balanced user interface on all subchannel ports. ECL is utilized for all HSSI data interfaces on Routers and Bridges. The ECL interface has a maximum data rate of up to 52Mbps. The unit has female DB-25 connectors that allow the user to easily and economically source data cables.

 

The DBU-HSSI continuously broadcasts receive data and receive timing from the master input port to the four output ports. The DBU-HSSI’s master port should be connected to the HSSI transmitter(DCE device). The input signals are split with the internal circuitry and broadcast out on the four output HSSI ports. All output ports should be connected to DTE devices. Each port has its own independent driver and receiver for re-transmitting Data and Clock signals.

 

The DBU-HSSI is housed in a sturdy aluminum standalone or rackmount enclosure and is supplied with an internal linear power supply. The unit has a 110/220 VAC rotary select switch located on the rear of the housing and can operate on standard AC power found in all countries. The unit has a three-year warranty.
